This project features a single-storey side extension tailored to meet the homeowners’ spatial requirements. The extension incorporates a compact garage storage area at the front, a utility room connected to the kitchen, and a shower room at the rear, offering essential storage solutions and creating additional space within the existing kitchen.
With minimal disruption to the site, this extension makes use of underutilized space at the side of the house. The design uses materials in keeping with the existing dwelling, but with the introduction of timber cladding to the front and garage/workshop door, providing a warm, modern touch that complements the brickwork and existing finishes. The proposed works also included an extended dropped kerb for safe vehicular access to the driveway. The project received planning consent in July 2024 and is set to start on site in 2025.
