Working with a growing family, our brief on this project was to add much sort after space to their dwelling that would allow them to remain in the beloved location and avoid relocating. The project involved the demolition of a utility block to the side of the property, which made way for the proposed and enabled a much better use of space. We designed a two-storey side extension with adjoining front single-storey extension. These additions allowed for an open plan kitchen dinner, WC and front playroom on the ground floor, with an extension to the shared bathroom, and a new master bedroom with ensuite at First floor.
The proposed extensions and renovation of the dwelling breaths new life into an old property, that has been reinvigorated through modern and natural material selection and subtly playful forms. The project is now nearing completion, with landscaping work remaining.
